Meet Michael

A 22-year Stafford County resident, Michael A. Catell is committed to serving his neighbors in Falmouth District by championing individual rights and fiscal responsibility and by putting forth policies that put people first and guide the county in smart growth.

Michael (Mike) grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania, the son of a first-generation immigrant. He graduated from King's College in Wilkes Barre, Pa., where he studied political science and history. His career has been focused around communications, marketing and revenue development – ensuring the institutions that benefit and advocate for people have the resources they need to thrive. Some relevant highlights: he worked to build Germanna Community College’s Educational Fund and raise awareness for and initiate a campaign that ultimately resulted in the establishment of GCC’s Stafford Campus. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Revenue Development for a national nonprofit based in Washington, D.C.

Mike’s dedication to serving his local community has long found expression in his membership in the Rotary Club and his church. He and his wife Jeniene have been married for 33 years and have raised their family here. They have six children and four grandchildren.
